MY SILLY CROOKED MOUTH

Sorry, no photos yet. I had to go to my dentist this morning. I'm being plagued with another sensitive tooth. This one is the last molar in my upper right jaw. I've been trying Sensodyne toothpaste to alleviate the problem, but maybe I didn't start it soon enough. I've already lost 3 other molars due to sensitivity and infection. Also, they appeared to become slightly loose as is the case with the current offender. I'm also having the dark metal fillings replaced with white ones. Two of these in my upper left were done this morning in addition to getting a tooth in between them prepared for a crown. It is a tooth in which the enamel had broken off and part of its amalgam was lost. I thought for sure it would become sensitive, but strangely, it has not done so. I thought it best to have it crowned. I have one more tooth on bottom right that needs to have a filling replaced. The extraction of the sensitive molar and the filling of the additional tooth will be done in approximately two weeks when the crown will be ready.

The title for this blog reflects the way my mouth looks as the numbing for the procedures done this morning has not worn off. It's lopsided on the left side and looks silly. The triple digits temperatures as of today are easing off here and stay that way for a few days, but it will still feel warmer than thermometer readings reflect. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

When I looked at myself in the mirror, the following Mother Goose rhyme came to my head. Anyone remember this one?

"There was a crooked man who walked a crooked mile.

He found a crooked sixpence against a crooked stile.

He bought a crooked cat who caught a crooked mouse,

And they all lived together in a little crooked house." silly

When one has a toothache, it's just plain impossible to think of anything else. OUCH. I hope you find relief soon. The sensodine should help.

@josaju - It'll be extracted when I go back for the other filling and for the crown. It has nothing to bite against because 2 other molars in the lower jaw needed to be extracted previously due to sensitivity, decay or infections. Therefore, it is not helping me with chewing. Fortunately, the ache is not constant. It's triggered by cold or pressure, but it fades away until the next trigger.
